Single-atom-single-photon interfaces Jürgen Eschner Abstract: The objective is the experimental realisation of quantum interfaces between individual atoms and photons, as well as interfaces between distant atoms through photonic interaction. Both probabilistic and cavity-QED approaches will be pursued, using single trapped ions and atoms. Experiment.
